Collectively we have over 40 years of experience within the marquee industry and are decendants of the longest established marquee business in the country. William Leith Marquees, which started off as a sailmakers in Leith, near Edinburgh, in 1793 became the oldest family run business in the United Kingdom, latterly moving into the manufacture and hire of marquees. William Leith Marquees had an excellent reputation with clients and within the industry and was extremely innovative, introducing peak performance marquees and among the first to use frame pavilion marquees in the country.

After over 200 years, William Leith sold the business and in 2008 it became Olympus Marquees which is run by Joanne Cox and Steven Farnaby. Steven began as William Leith's apprentice when he left school, quickly moving on to becoming a foreman and is now Director of Olympus Marquees along with Joanne. We fully intend to maintain and build on the reputation carefully built by William Leith and become a name immediately associated with excellent marquees and service whenever marquees are mentioned.
