Our Team

Steven Farnaby

Director, Olympus Marquees

Steven started as an apprentice to William Leith at the tender age of 16, arriving for his interview in his school uniform.  Mr Leith didn't expect him to last the day out but he's managed almost 30 years and counting!

Steven is, without doubt, our ideas man, thinking up new ways to set us apart from our competitors.

A real expert in his field he is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of all types of marquee, having worked his way up from apprentice to marquee rigger, to taking out his own crew as site foreman by the time he was 18 and eventually forming Olympus Marquees in 2008,

Joanne Cox

Director, Olympus Marquees

A comparative latecomer to the marquee industry, Joanne joined Leith UK Ltd in 2005, having had a background in sales and administration. She is the main point of contact for our clients.

Having become a Director of Olympus Marquees on it's formation in 2008, Steven explained to Joanne that the only way to really gain enough knowledge to be able to answer questions fully was to go out on site with the men as part of the team.  Already knowing how physically demanding the job was, Joanne was, quite frankly, terrified but Steven was 100% right.

Peter Weir

Site Manager, Olympus Marquees

Peter spent his first season at William Leith Marquees, at 17 years old, as a 'floater' moving from team to team, going wherever he was needed and it didn't deter him.  He's definitely the most practical one of all of us and can turn his hand to pretty much anything!  Besides passing on his vast knowledge of the industry by teaching and training new crew members, he's been a site manager since 2006.
